Introduction Twin Falls, a city in Twin Falls County was named after the nearby Twin Falls of the Snake River. Twin Falls is located in South Central Idaho approximately 4 miles south of the crossroads of Interstate 84 and U.S. Highway 93.
Twin Falls began as an agricultural center and served the pioneering farmers who homesteaded the irrigated lands of the fertile Snake River Plain. Though it is still one of the world’s most productive farming regions, it is gradually developing into a small urban center – the very kind of place many people seek as a refuge from the faster pace and challenges of larger metropolitan areas.
Twin Falls experiences hot and dry summers with almost freezing winters. Precipitation is infrequent in this part of the state.
